Fito Olivares
Saxophonist Fito Olivares fronted La Pura Sabrosura. Originally from Ciudad Camargo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Fito formed the group with his brothers Javier (vocals) and Jaime (keyboards) in Houston, Texas in 1980.
Several of Olivares' cumbias made top 40 on Billboard's latin charts in the 1990s, including "La Ranita", "Cupido Bandido", and "El Colesterol". His biggest hit was "Juana la Cubana".
